日本テレビ取材第1日目
午前４時起床。
午前5時半過ぎ、トンチンカンホテルでラームさんと
待ち合わせフォンザンホテルへ。日本テレビ取材団4人と合流。
午前6時過ぎ、レロイ小学校へ。校門で登校する子どもたちを
撮影。一番早い子どもは6時前に登校している。
6時半頃になると多くの子どもたちが、親のオートバイに
乗せられて登校。
●校長先生に挨拶
午前7時過ぎから4年生の学期末試験があった。
試験問題はトゥアティエンフエ省教育委員会が作成。
全県統一の試験問題である。試験を何分でするかも
分かっていない。7時少し前に副校長室で関係者が
集まり、県教育委員会から届いた「統一試験問題」の
袋を開封する。40分の時間内でのベトナム語の試験をする
ことが分かる。
試験問題を見ると大きなテーマがあり、全て論文形式の
だった。日本の4年生よりもはるかに水準の高い問題である。
試験終了後、4年生に試験についてのインタビューなどを行う。
続いて1年から3年生の教室に入り授業風景や子どもたち・
先生へのインタビュー。
午前11時からの給食、その後午後1時までの昼寝などを取材。
午後1時過ぎ、フォーサイゴンへ食事に行く。
今日は朝食を摂る時間がなく午後1時までの間、飲まず食わずで
取材。
午後5時まで各教室などの取材を行う。結局11時間の取材
となり、その間、立ちっぱなし。最高気温37度。外気は40度以上。
高湿度の中での取材は極端に体を消耗するものだった。
トンチンカンホテルでは、昨日フエに到着した税田真理子さんと
原・中村・松下さんが初めての夕食を摂っていたい。
ベトナム事務所ではバオミン・ベトナム事務所長が中心となり
翻訳団を組織。取材したテープをベトナム語と日本語に直す
作業を進めていた。ミンさん、サンさん、外務部イックホアンの
3人の影の仕事に感謝。
午後5時過ぎに今日の取材を終了。その後、取材したテープの
整理。午後7時、明日の打ち合わせを兼ねて夕食。
バオミンさんは、ビデオ翻訳の仕事を請けて
ベトナム事務所サンさんたちと4時間の
テープの日本語・ベトナム語の翻訳を行う。
午後9時、ベトナム事務所ではバオミンさん・
サンさん・外務部イックホアンさんの3人が翻訳を続けていた。
明日は午前6時半にレロイ小学校へ行く。
今日は、とにかく蒸し暑く、なかなか大変な取材だった。
レロイ小学校は全面協力態勢をとってくれた。
