日本へ一時帰国
午前８時半、ピースボートの皆さんがオートバイ研修センター・修理工場見学。
午前９時半、「子どもの家」のノー君の今後について父親、センさんと話し合う。
午後１２時、トンチンカンホテルを出発。

ピースボートの皆さんはオートバイ研修センター・工場を視察。バオミン・ベトナム事務所長、福田副代表、ラームベトナム事務所員が案内。
オートバイ研修センターで研修中の「リー君」はサッカーで右手を骨折。研修は見学。リー君は７年前の「ドキュメンタリー人間劇場」取材中に橋の上で見つけ「子どもの家」に入所。３年ほど前「子どもの家」を出てホーチミン市に行ったが、先日フエへ戻り、オートバイ研修センターで研修中。真面目に自立へ向け頑張っている。
午前９時半、「子どもの家」のノー君と父親、セン・ロックさんと話し合う。ノー君は１４歳で６年生。学校へ行くのを嫌い、橋の袂で物乞いをしたり、怠学をしたりを繰りかえしている。センさん、ロックさん、寮母さんが話し合ったり注意したりしているが、中々よくならない。怠学がひどく、学校側から何度も「退学処分」を通告されるが、センさんなどが拝み倒し、何とか学校へ在籍だけは保っていたが、とうとう先日「退学処分」の最後通告を受ける。
既に２回６年生をしている。本人は、学校へ行きたくない。父親といたいという。
話し合いの結果、しばらく農業をしている父親の下で暮らすこととする。母親は不明。父親は「ごま」「豆」の農家。年収３万円程度（月収３０００円以下）。子どもたちが４人いる。ノー君が家に帰ると生活はかなり難しくなる。当面８月まで家での生活費を出すこととする。しばらく父親・兄弟と暮らして、９月から地元の学校へ入り、３度目の６年生に挑戦することになった。
午後１２時、トンチンカンホテルを出て、フエ空港へ。午後２時１０分、フエ発の飛行機でホーチミン市へ。午後１１時４０分ホーチミン発で成田へ。成田着は４月１３日午前７時４５分の予定。
