Ｋ大学学生ホームステー先視察
朝６時起床。７時、ＮＨＫ国会討論会を見る。
その後、ドンバ市場まで散歩。豚肉ソーセージ（チャーゾー）を買う。

右（地球の歩き方ボランティアツアー）
ドンバ市場へ行く途中、フエ師範大学の塀に「２００４年４月２５日、各級議会議員選挙を熱烈に祝賀する」との看板が出ていた。４月２５日に国会、県議会、市議会等の選挙がある。
しかし、実際には既にトゥアティエンフエ省知事もフエ市長も決まっていて、仕事もしている。
昨夜、緒方貞子さんの歓迎晩餐会には、新フエ市長が参加。名刺ももらっている。しかし、選挙は４月２５日である。ベトナムの一党独裁の実態をみる思いである。見せかけだけの嘘の選挙である。ベトナムが民主主義国家だと豪語する人に聞きたい。選挙をする前に既に新市長が名刺をもって活動している国が民主主義国家なのですか？と。
午後３時、ラームさんと車で２０分ほどのフエ郊外の農村に行く。来年の春先にフエで２週間ボランティア体験授業をするＫ大学の学生の農村ホームステー先の視察である。ＴＨＵＹ ＴＨＡＮＨ村（人口７０００人）の純農村である。１７００戸、小学校が２校、中学校１校。高校はない。村中が緑色の稲。農村特有の稲の何ともいえない「芳香」がする。新鮮な田舎のにおい。
約２０人の学生が１０戸に分かれて宿泊する。
衛生状態、治安状態などを考慮し視察。このホームステーで日本の学生がベトナムの農村の生活の一端でも知ってもらえればと企画した。
ベトナムの農村に日本人がホームステーするのは、フエ市人民委員会、地元人民委員会、公安などの承認が必要である。その上、現地を視察し、トイレ、寝室、シャワーなどの諸施設を確認。出来るだけ地元の一般農民の生活を体験できるようホームステー先を選定。最終的に問題になったことは、シャワーである。水シャウーしかない。来年の春先だと地元は寒い。水シャワーでは日本の学生は無理である。結局、お湯を沸かし体を拭くこととした。これも体験である。食事は、３食家族と一緒に食べることとする。午後５時まで視察。
午後８時半近く、地球の歩き方ボランティア体験ツアーがホテルへ到着。出迎える。ラームさん、ヒーさん、優子が空港まで行く。明日から１週間、「子どもの家」や少数民族などとの交流を行う。
