久しぶりの休日 DUONGさん大学合格
終日晴天。寒い。
今日は天気は良いが寒い。長袖を着ていた。
７月２０日にフエへ戻り丁度２ヶ月。２２８人の訪問者を
受け入れ、この２ヶ月は本当に忙しかった。
帰国後の小樽、静岡県磐田市、日本事務所会議と
続き、７月２０日以来の休日。
たまっていた手紙の返事。メールの返信。
糠漬けの整備。
午前１１時、ブランチ。妻と二人。
午後昼寝。
「自民党幹事長室の３０年」（奥島貞雄著：中央公論新書）を読む。
奥島氏は４０年間自民党本部職員を勤め、自民党幹事長室長
として歴代の幹事長の身近に接していた人である。
その奥島氏が身近に見た田中角栄、福田赳夫、保利茂、橋本
登美三郎、中曽根康弘、大平正芳、桜内義雄、二階堂進、
田中六助、金丸信、竹下登、安部晋太郎、小沢一郎、
小渕恵三、加藤紘一などの実像を紹介している。
全体を読んで見て、自民党の幹事長や総裁も実に人間であり
怒り、ねたみ、喜び、飲み、遊びとそれぞれの人物が人生を
生き抜いたことが分かる。熾烈な首相争いの競争と闘いをしながら
生きてきた。その中でもやはり「人間の匂い」を感じる人々だった。
私が中学生から１９９５年の「加藤の乱」までの自民党内の
様々な動きが、自民党職員（幹事長室長）という要職にあった
人の目からどのように見えたのか、大変興味深い。
新聞やマスコミでは分からない、裏で悩み苦しんだこれら
派閥の親分たちの実に人間くささがよく分かる。
午後４時、散歩。赤塚公園まで往復１時間半。
２５通のメール受信。１５通の返信。
午後６時、ベトナム事務所より連絡。
フエ高等師範大学を受験していた「子どもの家」の
DUONG（ユオン）さんの合格発表があったとのこと。
１年間の浪人の後、見事に栄冠を勝ち取った。
おめでとう。師範大学では小学校の先生になるコースに入った。
将来小学校の先生になって、後輩を導いて欲しい。これで
DUONGさんの自立への道が一歩進んだ。DUONGさんは、
「子どもの家」の第１期生である。
今年は４人大学を受験し、３人が大学合格。１名は不合格。
フエ師範大学数学科、フエ経済大学、フエ高等師範大学。
大学不合格となった子は、電気専門学校へ入学。
４人とも将来の生きる道を見つけたようだ。
一人一人の子どもたちの自立に向けての取り組みは
これで終わりと言うことはない。粘り強く、子どもたちの
特性と希望を聞きながら進めてゆかなければならない。
支援とはこうした取り組みが一番大事である。
ベトナム事務所のスタッフ、セン委員長をはじめ「子どもの家」の
スタッフと日本人スタッフとの粘り強い協力体制があったればこその
ことである。
