和歌山青年会議所講演会
午前中、運転免許更新。ゴールドなので板橋警察署へ。１０月２３日からとのこと。早すぎた。
昼、自宅を出て羽田空港経由関西空港へ。羽田発の」飛行機が３０分ほど遅れる。
午後７時から和歌山青年会議所講演会にぎりぎりで間に合う。
午後９時、地元テレビ取材。１１月に放映。
午後１０時前。和歌山青年会議所の皆さんと懇親会。
和歌山泊。
和歌山市の小学生からアルミ缶収集での寄金を頂く。
和歌山市小学生･先生方・青年会議所の皆さんと
講演会は最初に和歌山市内１３小学校を代表して児童の皆さんから６９７３０円の寄金頂く。更に和歌山市立西和佐小学校児童会から４２００円の寄金を頂く。空き缶は６４４００個、１１５０キログラム集まったそうだ。現在、空き缶は１個１円だそうだ。和歌山市１４校の小学生が集めた７万６千円のお金は、二人の子どもたちの１年分の生活費に相当する。
昨年、和歌山青年会議所がインターネットで私たちの活動を知り、私のビデオを作成し市内の全小学校に配布。学校で空き缶を集め、業者に販売した売り上げを、フエの「子どもの家」に寄贈しようとの呼びかけを行った。市内の小学生と先生方が青年会議所の呼びかけに応え今回の寄金へと発展した。
和歌山青年会議所は昨年の９月には実際にフエの「子どもの家」を視察されている。
こうして和歌山青年会議所は、日本の子どもたちに空き缶の収集と言う活動を通して、アジアの子どもたちの実情を知られるという貴重な活動をはじめている。
改めて和歌山青年会議所の理事長さんをはじめ会員の皆様にお礼を申し上げたい。
