10年前の教え子が集まった
今日も３５度。真夏日。暑い。昼間は暑くて外出できない。夜は、暗くて事故や転んだりするので外出できず、この二日間、家で過ごす。気づくと「フダビール」の空き缶が１５本も部屋に積み上げられていた。「誰が飲んだのだろう・・・」。
朝８時、宿舎の前を数百人に若者が行進していた。聞くとフランスの侵略を打ち破ったディエンビエンフーの闘い５０周年記念の行進だそうだ。
１９９３年から９５年まで「フエ師範大学」で日本語を教えた。昨日私を訪問してきたホーチミン市のジューキミシンに勤務するＢさんを囲んで、夕方から「フエ師範大学日本語クラス」同窓会があった。ミンさん、ラームさん、サンさん、ホアンさんなど６人で思い出話に花を咲かせた。
１０年たつと教え子も２０代から３０代となり、おじさん、おばさんになっていたとは大声では言えないが・・。「貫禄と人間味」が出てきた。
