ハノイの近藤さんが亡くなる
フエのラームさんから携帯にメール。ハノイ近藤コーポレーション社長の近藤紘一さんが２月２日に急逝されたとの連絡。衝撃を受ける。つい先日、電話で話をした。
近藤社長は現在ベトナムに住んでいる日本人では一番古くからハノイに住んでいた方。
１９９３年に私がフエに住んでからちょっとしたきっかけで知り合い、それ以来「馬が合って」面倒を見ていただいていた。
まだ６０歳。若い。近藤さんのハノイでの「武勇伝」は切りなくある。ハノイで最初に出来た日本料理屋「ラン」の事実上のオーナーでもある。「子どもの家」には毎年数十万円の寄金を頂いていた。また、ハノイのビジネスクラブに「子どもの家」を紹介してくれたりと、心のある方だった。福岡出身の福岡男児。今日、奥さんと電話で話をした。悲しくて涙が出た。人生の悲哀を感じた。生きている間は、充実した生き方をしたいと実感した。近藤紘一氏のご冥福を心からお祈りしたい。
午後、登別温泉から札幌の長男宅へ帰る。
今日、２月３日は妻の００度目の誕生日。長男の嫁さんが極秘で誕生会を企画してくれた。夕食は妻の００歳の誕生会。孫のはな嬢が「ＨＡＰＰＹ ＢＩＲＴＨＤＡＹ」を歌う。ケーキのろうそく消し。
