テレビ大阪取材第２日目
朝４時半起床。午前６時、ラームさんとフランスパンを頬張りセンチュリーホテルへ。
今日は「子どもの家」でフエ芸術大学音楽専門学校へ行っているＤＵＯＣ君の取材。朝７時に学校へ行く所から取材が始まった。
ＤＵＯＣ君は「子どもの家」から音楽専門学校へ雨の中、自転車で通学する。学校では、音楽の授業の様子を取材。ＤＵＯＣ君がオルガンを上手に弾いていた。
続いて「子どもの家」の卒業生でフエ師範短大のコンピュータ科に通学しているＳＯＮ君の大学での授業風景、寄宿舎での生活、大学食堂での様子などを取材。
昼食は、ベトナム事務所員とテレビ大阪取材団と一緒に「チャオバンカン」（小麦煮込みうどん）を食べに行く。
その足で「子どもの家」への入所を希望している子どもの家へ行く。ミンベトナム事務所長、ロック寮長と一緒に。フエ市内から１時間ほどのフーロック郡にある農村の家庭。父親はいない。母親は３ヶ月に１回位帰宅する。家には９３歳の曾祖母がいるのみ。入所希望の子どもは８歳の男子。今日は母親にも帰って来てもらい、自宅で入所手続きをする。
最後のお別れになると曾祖母も子どもも母親も泣いていた。悲しい別れである。家族で一緒に生活をさせてやりたい。しかし、母親はダナンで住み込みの仕事をしていると言っていたが、会ってみるとどう見ても水商売かそれ以上の仕事をしているように見えた。子どもはほったらかされている状況。母親と曾祖母に任せていては、８歳の男児の将来はない。「子どもの家」で通学させ、しっかりとした生活をさせる必要がる。今回は母も曾祖母も「子どもの家」への入所を強く希望していた。
曾祖母と母親との別れの時、８歳の男児も別れがつらく泣いていた。私もついもらい泣きしてしまった。こんな時が一番つらい。しかし、目先の辛さに負けては駄目である。８歳の男児の将来を考えると、誰かが男児のために「一肌ぬがなかれば」ならない。「子どもの家」で男児は自立して生きていく可能性を得たのである。私たちの仕事はこうした１人の人間を人間として成長させる仕事である。支援はそのためのものである。支援が目的ではない。
午後５時半からテレビ大阪取材団と夕食。蟹と烏賊料理の専門店へ。美味しい。
朝早くからとにかく疲れた１日だった。
